Tuesday Tip: Persona Identification Process
Collibra provides you with several different typical personas you can start with. But with time you will realize that you need more that will be specific to the unique structure of your organisation and specific needs of your users.
So how to identify them?
I would like to share with you the process of Persona identification and do some practice on it. The process consists of four steps:
- First, we have to identify our key stakeholders and collect all necessary information.
- After that, we have to identify similarities in capability needs and data challenges and synthesize necessary personas.
- Having the personas defined and knowing their needs we will understand what can we do to help them with data challenges and make their life easier.
- The last step is the easiest one, where we are going to implement the necessary changes.
Although a lot of things will have to be done to achieve the result, it’s very doable and standard practice across Collibra customers.
If you have already identified your own personas please share your findings and recommendations. If you haven’t done it yet feel free to ask any questions.

·2 years agoHi @dmytrolugovyi . We're new to Collibra and one of our challenges is user adoption as it can be confusing and overwhelming for new users to see so many options especially when searching for assets. I'm interested in building a persona-based curation and search functionality. Can you point me to a documentation or discussion on this to further help me in my research? Thanks!
