Insert a customer rule based on SQL I already have

I have a question. I want to insert a custom rule based on SQL I already have, and I was contemplating using the REST API v2/insertcustomrule shall I use that, or is there a better way? This came up with someone who wants to migrate SQL from IDQ to CDQ and has the SQL from my IDQ utility

insertrule just look at network tab when you make a rule it’ll show you which one to use and the payload and then translate to swagger/api
