Data Basket Integration to SAP GRC
Hi All, Has anyone tried integrating Collibra to SAP GRC? We currently have a working process provisioning data access using SAP GRC and we are hoping to utilize that process by integrating Collibra’s Data Basket functionality. Basically, what we are looking for is for the users to shop for data using Collibra and once the data has been checked out using the Data Basket, it should initiate a ‘request’ to SAP GRC to provision data access.

·3 years ago · EditedThere is no such OOTB integration: there are very few instances where the data basket automatically requests access in an external system.
Also, keep in mind the OOTB design has a very strong focus on “Data elements” (Columns or data attributes).
In our case, we’re implementing a data access process at data set level, by integrating with our IAM suite. Therefore we need to introduce the concept of “Access Role”.
What is the access model used for SAP GRC? Will you be using roles or just granting permissions to the users directly (without role)?
A good way to automate that process is to have an external application regularly polling for new workflow tasks (for data access) and sending the requests to the access management system.
