Edge-Databricks Integration Q: Does JDBC Driver connect to Databricks Control Plane or Data Plane?
Hey fellow Collibra users. We’re looking to implement data profiling, data sampling, and metadata ingestion of an AWS-hosted Databricks env using Collibra Edge and Databricks’ JDBC Driver(https://www.databricks.com/spark/jdbc-drivers-download) into our Collibra Env. Our Solution Architecture team would like to understand a little bit more about this JDBC Driver connectivity within Databricks - does it establish a connection with Databricks’ Control Plane or Data Plane? And what impact does this have on Edge env placement? Thanks!
