How to dynamically generate workflow form fields based on the Asset Type
assignment?

Question

We are working on workflows development and we would like to dynamically generate workflow form fields based on the Asset Type assignment. As an example. Business Term has Definition and Note Min value set to 1. If I execute the Approval workflow, I want to see these fields on the workflow form. However, if I change Min = 0 for Note, this attribute will not show on the workflow form without any code change. Is that possible on Workflow ‘Start Form’ as well as the User Task’ forms?

I can tell you that our engineering team has put together a web-based environment where the desired functionality is being beta tested. I myself haven’t gotten my hands on it but this has been under development for some time now. I would contact your CSM to get an update on this.

Hi Peter,

At this point in time, Collibra workflows don’t support dynamic form elements. There is a small level of dynamicity that can be incorporated but not to the level you’re looking for. This has been a feature request by many users and developers and we have plans to incorporate this in the future.
