Importing an existing workflow to workflow designer

Question

Hi, I’m new to workflow designer and I would like to revise an existing workflow. I’m trying to import the workflow by copying the XML and creating a .bpmn file. When I import the file, I receive the following error:

Error while processing the BPMN XML file: Import failed for AccessRequestApprovalProcessV2.bpmn, error message Error reading XML

Can someone shed some light on what I’m doing wrong please?

That did it! Thank you Ravi. I’m on a Mac using TextEdit and I don’t have the ability to save as “All files”. I had to have a PC user save it with notepad.

Hi Valerie,

First save the file as bpmn type , “Save as Type” - > “All files”
Create a new app in workflow designer
Click on “Add Model”
Import as a process and not form.
If the workflow version is previously not imported, click on warn and stop import.
