Is it possible to call the API inside a User Form?

Hi all,

In a User Form that is initiated from an asset, I want to retrieve the Asset Type inside the User form. In the user form we have item.id available. Is it possible to use the Asset API to get the asset type with this item.id?

You can not call APIs dynamically while a user is completing a form.

Instead, you would need to add a script task that captures the asset type before the form initializes. Then you would store it in a process variable and reference it in a form's Proposed Values field.
