Overlays Not Showing Correctly in Business Diagram Node

I would like to display various Steward values as an overlay on a node of a Business Diagram.

However, I seem to be facing two problems:

1. If the value is inherited it does not display

2. The value does not display instead I get a small head shaped icon

Anyone have any ideas/have faced similar issue

Yea and even if it showed the (role).value there is no context ... ie Brad vs Steward = Brad

Diagrams is a great bit of capability, but you got to play to its strengths. Once upon a time there was talk of "Diagrams 2.0" but that was 2 years ago+ and it still looks the same. Not sure if @mikeevans can give more colour (or color).
