Are hidden attributes possible in DGC?

I was wondering if there is a way to assign an Attribute (custom or out-of-the-box) to an Asset Type , but hide it from Stewards. As System Admins, we’d like to set the value of the attribute in order to filter the objects returned by Collibra API calls, without Stewards worrying about setting/updating this system-oriented attribute. I considered adding an Attribute and setting the max. number of occurrences of the characteristic to zero, but that doesn’t seem to help. Any advice would be appreciated.

Just leave it out of the assignment.
You can add any attribute to any asset even if they are not in their assignment.

But how to edit attributes if you can’t see them?

Make sure at least one asset containing the attribute is also assigned to the same domain type, and in the domain view, you can add a field for the attribute and assign whatever you want
use the APIs (java or rest). For example, you could have an asset-level workflow that would enable you to see/update those values.

Another way to do it would be to create assets to maintain those “hidden” attributes and add the relation to the other asset. E.g. “Contract” and “Financials” asset types: the contract holds attributes that many people can see, but the financials are secret. Each contract has one “Financials” related asset, maintained in a domain with more restrictive view permissions.
