Asset type missing from search results

Since the navigation refresh was pushed with the 2021.11 update, we have noticed that assets from at least one asset type (reports) are not appearing in search results. We tried searching by multiple fields (full name, name). We have not changed our boost settings, nor have we applied search filters.

Additionally - when I try searching for the names of existing domains in Browse > Organization, it says “No domains or communities found.”

Hi @yasmin.schamiloglu To be honest, I don’t know how to check if the search index(ing) is fully done. But everything you mention makes me suspect it is not. You should indeed have the option (under ‘refine’) to narrow down by asset type. If that’s not the case - in combination with the strange results in the Browser top left when looking for domains, I would encourage you to contact Collibra Support.

Hi @ann.wuyts,

Is there a way that we can check whether the search index has finished building? We are still running into the same issue after a few more days.

If it helps - we used to be able to narrow down search results by asset type in the search in/refine menus on the left, but those options are also not appearing after the update.

@yasmin.schamiloglu Can you check if you’re using search filters?

Search filters are a way to select only some asset types to appear in the search. By default, I think they put the “Catalog” search filter.
