Code Values in Physical Data Dictionary
Hello - I’m manually loading metadata into our physical data dictionary and I’m struggling with adding the valid values for each column. I want to add the valid values into the physical data dictionary domain as code values that are not part of a codeset or part of a codelist domain. Is this possible, or does each value need to be part of a codeset to work?

Code set has a " applies to Data Element" relation, which allows you to link it to a column in a physical data dictionary. If you display as a hierarchy, you can even see the code sets and code values in the same view as your physical data dictionary (although stored in another domain).
I’m not sure why you would want to use it otherwise, but if you really want to store code sets and code values in a physical data dictionary, you can just add the physical data dictionary to both asset types assignments, in the settings.
