Data Governance KPIs - Measuring Metadata Quality
I am curious what other people are doing around measuring and reporting out on the quality of the metadata in their catalog (completeness). For example, we have received feedback that certain attributes of our Table and Column assets (full english name and description) are very important to our end users and the more complete they are, the better adoption we see. We have put processes in place to improve on this metadata quality and would like to measure improvements over time. I am finding it difficult, however, to easily report out of the Collibra platform the number of say, Column assets we have and the percentage that have completed/filled in attributes. Has anyone else done anything like this? And if so, any advice on how to easily measure it? Thank you in advance!

·1 year agoThree ways to extract datasets (check out Data export best practices)
and bring it into your own DG/RDL (data governance reporting layer) database. from there add SCD. Then SQL query or use as data source for your BI tools.
Hopefully it'll be exposed in a normal form SCD canonical via Collibra Data Notebooks ;-)
