Enhance Search Capabilities- Collibra
hey Everyone,
Can someone please suggest how can we enhance global search type. The idea is to search an asset type(output) using any characteristic(input) . Eg I have data asset name Pol Layer(desired output) I enter Long Name Characteristic(Input) Policy Layer (which is well added to Pol Layer ), but it does not populate my desired output rather it shows results like Policy Handler, Policy Number, Policy Title( all results that contain “POL” ) but top most asset isn’t Policy Layer. If anyone could suggest.
Kind Regards,
Samarth

Let me try to rephrase your use-case to see if I understand correctly:
Do I undestand correctly that you have the following asset:
{
“type” : “Data Asset”,
“name” : “Pol Layer”,
“longName” : “Policy Layer”
}
And your query is:
“Policy Layer”
And your result are:
Policy Handler, Policy Number, Policy Title
but not the
Pol Layer?
Is that correct?

It explains how to customize collibra to search in attributes for assets.

OP5 years ago · EditedThanks for your reply. It definitely helps to a certain extent but the idea is to get more data user friendly. egTo have a search result similar to that of Google search result
