Hiding Data Helpdesk Application
Currently we are not using the Data Helpdesk application with our users and I would like to hide it so as to not overwhelm users with extraneous functionality that is not serving a specific purpose. I had previously removed the “Everyone” permissions for this app but subsequently found out that because the Data Quality Rule and Data Quality Dimension assets are linked to this application, removing permissions to the Data Helpdesk had the effect of removing permissions of certain users to create and modify DQ Rule assets.
Is there any other way to hide the Data Helpdesk application without affecting the DQ asset permissions?

to create a Data Quality Rule, you must have the System Administration global permission

You could create a new global role which includes only the "System administration " global permission. This will hide the Helpdesk however it also gives group members access to the Settings menu.

In this case I am referring to the DQ Rule asset type, and not the “Data Quality Rules” which can be created by Sys Admin role only. We are using the DQ rule asset type and certain users performing data governance activities need to create DQ rules in specified domains. However, if I hide the Data Helpdesk app their permissions to create or modify these assets are taken away.
If it’s not possible to hide the Data Helpdesk app at this time, I will go ahead and put in an ideation request so as to separate out the asset permissions from the helpdesk concept.
