In Collibra can we fetch a file from the system folder using a workflow?

I am fairly new to Collibra and I want to know if a workflow can fetch a file from the system and store the file temporarily and return it to the user.

hum… If you’re trying to upload a file from the CLIENT local system, then that’s absolutely not the way to go.
If you’re trying to upload a file from the SERVER local system, you’re probably trying to do something you should not do.

Now regarding syntax, I think it should more look like the following (source The Apache Groovy programming language - The Groovy Development Kit (groovy-lang.org))

Sure, this is what the AttachmentApi is for.

Thanks for the reply Arthur. I understand that using AttachmentApi we can work on the file that was uploaded using an user task.

In my use case I don’t want user to upload any file. Whenever the workflow is started by an user, the workflow needs to fetch a file from the local system folder and download it to the user.

When I try something like this it is showing me an error that (No such file or directory) even though there is a file present in that path.

  import com.collibra.dgc.core.api.component.instance.AttachmentApi

 InputStream fileStream = fileApi.getFileAsStream(file)

 AddAttachmentRequest attachmentRequest = AddAttachmentRequest.builder()
.baseResourceId(item.getId())
.baseResourceType(item.getType())
.fileStream(fileStream)
.fileName(fileName)
.build()

 attachmentApi.addAttachment(attachmentRequest)

Is this the right way to do it?
