Masking Data Before Guided Stewardship

Whilst the edge compute capabilities are being developed, many firms using the cloud hosted services face issues with using the guided stewardship tools on sensitive data.

One alternative we are considering is the use of tools like Delphix for RDMS platforms, or Okera for big data platforms, to create masked data sets which we can then allow the Collibra harvesting and guided stewardship tools to connect to.

We would be interested in any experiences of teams trying these techniques, whether with these tools or others.

I really wonder what could be the ROI in doing that?

Just to store sample 100 rows & some profiling statistics which usually are not looked by the consumers (if they need, they can preview data in respective database clients) -

Setup a high end config job server
Invest in masking tool
Execute Masking
