Present all DSR scope data to consumers

Question

I have ingested and assigned relationships to my table assets for those in scope of GDPR DSR. The relationships I created are Table “is governed by” Policy. I’m looking for a good way to expose this information to consumers who are interested in a list of all tables within a Schema that is in scope for DSR. I have three Policy assets that I used in the “Table is governed by Policy” relationship. These are “DSR:Delete”, “DSR:Mask” and “DSR:No Action”. Should I put these tables in a Data Set and e...

Gerald, I’ll do what I can to answer with the information you provided. You can proceed with the three policies you have, or perhaps have a complex relationship to link a single DSR policy, the possible actions (Delete, Mask, No Action), and the appropriate table. Let’s stick with what you have, for this question. It’s a simple matter to create a hierarchical view in Collibra using the relationship you have where you could expand each policy and see the tables grouped under each of your three policies. You could also skip the hierarchical view, and create three different views, using the policy type to filter. Finally (at least as far as the options I’m discussing - lots of ways to skin the cat in Collibra), you can create a single view with the information you want, possibly sorting it by the related policy. I’m not sure why you would put any of this in a data set.

If you’re not familiar with views in Collibra, definitely take the training on them, or read up in the manual, as they’re a key part of the UI. Hope this helps.
