Resume editing a saved Diagram?

Happy New Year all!

OK, Diagrams are great. I can edit the render settings and save this as a View. I can ‘Capture picture’ and also export as PDF or SVG.

I was kind of expecting that saving a View of the Diagram would save all of the custom relations you added, and that you could resume editing from there.

Similarly, when you open a saved Picture, you can’t do any further “Explore” actions.

Am I missing something?

Now I understand what you meant. Really sorry but Collibra diagrams doesn’t have this functionality at the moment. Please may I ask if you could raise an Ideation request so that our Dev teams can look at it.

Hi John,
Yes when you are building a diagram, first of all, the relations have to exist (custom or out of the box). Once they are available and assets are linked, you can build diagrams utilising those relations.
When you are creating a diagram view, its typically to tell a specific story, that is to say, you would not be utilising all the relations between Assets. Once you add those relations to the configuration of the diagram, they will be saved (once the Save button is pressed). If this is not working as expected, I would suggest raising a ticket with our support team.

The idea of the picture is that it is a snapshot in time. So what you could do is limited by design.
