Suppress New User Email
Hello Community!
We leverage single sign on for our users in Collibra. We are finding the need to add users manually in some cases (to assign them to responsibilities for assets) . We have found that it works fine to add the users manually and when they log in through single sign on, the account syncs with no issues. The problem is the Welcome to Collibra message - that sends a specific link that bypasses single sign on and is confusing to the user. I believe we can change the email template and remove that confusing link, but I was wondering if there was a way to suppress the welcome email all together.
Any other SSO users who find the need to add some users manually? How do you deal with this issue?

·3 years ago · EditedHi,
I also would like to disable the sign up emails for the same reason mentioned by Jennifer.
Is this possible? For now I would like to disable and in the future I would like to modify the email template so it points users to our RBAC system they need to request access in.

You need to set a dummy email at creation, then update the real email.
For the template, this is yet another example of the magic mystery of collibra. The email template exists, can be overridden, makes use of localizable variables, but there is no info whatsoever. your best bet would be to request support.
Some pointers on the variables:
So, in collibra, in System > Languages, you could just change the content of the variable.

OP4 years ago · EditedI actually solved my own problem. I found that I could use a dummy email address when creating the users so the welcome email would go there, but as soon as they logged in that address and all the other aspects of their user id synced up with SSO. Just sharing in case there is someone else out there trying to work around such challenges.
