Collibra will send an email notification once a task is assigned. If the user has notification reminders set up, they'll get automated email notifications based on the frequency specified in their profile - but this also means that they'll continue to receive blank notifications if they don't have any pending tasks. On the flip side, if they don't have notification reminders set up, I don't think they'll get additional email reminders...unless a new task is assigned, and they get another email with the new task - which would also include any other open tasks that need review.
