Hello Data Citizens, Welcome to this issue of the Data Citizens Digest. This month, we focus on the news from our latest release , plus other updates you won’t want to miss. Check it out! Notifications Improved notification settings offer greater control over email notifications and their frequency Manage Collibra notifications directly from the Notification Center Notification Center now includes comments where you're tagged, replies to your threads, assigned assessments and workflow tasks Notifications within the Collibra Platform will be viewable for a longer duration AI Governance Initiate workflows with a click: Configure the “Register AI use case” button to trigger a workflow upon user selection Enhanced lifecycle management: Lifecycle management is now extended to AI Agent assets and their child asset types, in addition to the already-available AI Model and AI Use Case asset types and child asset types Streamlined AI use case information: Access relevant AI use cases directly within email notifications for metadata changes Attach supporting sign-off files: Users can now attach supporting files when completing sign-off activities Data Marketplace We’ve enhanced the search functionality in Data Marketplace with the following improvements: Refined search results: Search now leverages relation indexes based on asset type group relations Consistent user interface: The standalone Data Marketplace search page has been redesigned to now be consistent with other Collibra apps, offering a more consistent user experience Intuitive layout: The "Search" field is now directly visible on the page, rather than the header Streamlined asset preview: Easily open an asset preview by clicking the asset name hyperlink Clearer terminology: We renamed it “Need help?” section to “Actions” for better clarity Acquisitions Collibra recently announced two exciting acquisitions to further strengthen our platform and portfolio: Raito: Collibra has acquired Raito – a pioneering data access governance platform purpose-built for the complexities of modern data and AI ecosystems. This acquisition advances our vision of delivering a single command center for organizations to confidently use data and AI, anywhere, at any scale. Read more here . Deasy Labs: Collibra has acquired Deasy Labs to unlock unstructured data for AI. This makes Collibra the first platform to unify governance across structured and unstructured content, accelerating trusted AI initiatives at scale. Read more here . CLI lineage harvester will officially reach its end-of-life on July 31, 2026. Learn more about technical lineage via Edge here • End of life for custom technical lineage single-file definition: Custom technical lineage enables you to create tailored technical lineage for data from sources not currently supported by our existing integrations. "Single-file definition" has been replaced by the "batch definition" option, which brings significant improvements and benefits. The single-file option will officially reach its end-of-life on July 31, 2026. Learn more about custom technical lineage here • Reminder about Data Quality (DQ) Java upgrade: As part of our commitment to enhancing security, performance and user experience, Collibra DQ started transitioning to Java 17 in February 2025. Collibra will officially end support for Java 8 and Java 11 in August 2025 (2025.08). Hello, What happened to the Import button? I only have the export option, but it still allows me to download the data needed to re-import? See screenshot, the export icon is there, the import is not. Note: This is not an issue in my dev environment, only prod.

Guided stewardship for blended data

hi, has anyone used the guided stewardship approach to catalogue blended data? At the physical layer I have a claims table with a claim id. The claim id originates from 2 different sources. I have 1 data model asset and 2 entity assets (one for each data source). Can i have 2 data attributes, one for each entity? thanks

Power BI Lineage

Anyone having issues with Power BI lineage not working consistantly? We have had 2 years of problems, that we are stuggling with getting lineage to work with Power BI. Would love to hear others experience with it. Below is latest issue and workaround. Issue Summary The lineage issue is caused by a mismatch between the Power Query Analyzer’s static analysis and the script’s dynamic column renaming approach. The Analyzer requires all information to be static, but the script dynamically generates its renaming map at runtime. This results in an incomplete lineage map with mismatched source and target column names. Workaround The recommended approach is to refactor the dynamic rename operation into a static, explicit mapping. This aligns the script with the Analyzer’s expectations and ensures accurate lineage. Current Dynamic Implementation (causes mismatch): #"Renamed Dynamically" = Table.RenameColumns(Source, List.Transform(Table.ColumnNames(Source), each Text.Proper(Text.Replace(_, "_", " "))) ) Proposed Static Implementation (aligns with Analyzer): #"Renamed Manually" = Table.RenameColumns(Source, { {"PROCEDURE_CODE", "Procedure Code"}, {"PROCEDURE_DESCRIPTION", "Procedure Description"}, {"CDT_PROCEDURE_CATEGORY", "Cdt Procedure Category"} // ...etc., for all required columns }) By using this static approach, the column renaming will remain consistent and correctly interpreted by the Analyzer.
