What permissions are needed in Snowflake for DQ?

I’ve reviewed https://dq-docs.collibra.com/connecting-to-dbs-in-owl-web/supported-drivers/connectivity-to-snowflake and I’m not seeing any notes on the account permissions that the user account needs in Snowflake in order for Collibra DQ to work properly.

The customer has created the connection and the connection test came back successful, but when they go to the Explorer, they see no data under the database. Suspecting that they may need to add permissions to the account being used. Is this documented anywhere?

Hi Adam,

I have seen this behavior in other drivers, this is usually because of the driver, not the permissions. You only need connect and read privileges.

The best way to debug this is by checking the logs, usually, you can see an error there explaining the issue.

Check that they are using the correct driver, for snowflake the driver is contained in the “driver” folder of the installation. Do not use a different driver.

Hope this helps.
