Power BI Data Attributes

Within Collibra most BI Platforms have a metamodel that contains Report containing report attributes (measured by measures) that refer to data attributes (the logical models within the BI tools) that are sourced from physical columns. In Power BI, the concept of a Report Attribute is actually missing (except for the Power BI parameter). This is cumbersome, as this disables the end user to make lineage from the report up to the correct data sources. I created an idea for this, feel free to vote when it becomes available: Ideation Platform – Collibra | Product Resource Center

Thank you Kristen. It’s assigned to the proper Product Manager for review, and should be available for everybody to vote for now:

Thank you @ann.wuyts & @kristen.freer to make this idea visible! I hope this idea will pass; it would make the Power BI metadata much more transparent

Hi Jennifer, you can check on the Idea :bulb: DCC-I-289 Add Report Attribute asset type for Power BI for the latest update from the product manager:

Report attributes are not exposed in the scanner APIs. Once this is supported in Power BI, we will make sure that Collibra shows this information on our asset pages and in the technical lineage. (Oct '22)

I’m checking in with the team to see if we have additional info to share.
