How to Customize Asset Type Attributes when in a Specific Domain

Hello,

I am new to Collibra and I want to customize aasset type attributes when in a specific domain.  My use case is there is the report asset and when a report is created in a specific domain, I want the report asset layout to have specific attributes that are just for a report in that domain.  I don't want to add them to the global assignment.

Any direction would be extremely helpful!

Hi,

this can be achieved with scopes:

  1. In Settings > Operating Model > Scopes, create a scope.
  2. In the "Organization By Scope" section, assign the new scope to the community in which the domain resides.
  3. In Settings > Operating Model > Asset types, choose the relevant asset type (Report) and add an assignment for the new scope.
  4. Inside of the new assignment, add the attribute and relation types you need.

Good luck,

Laurenz

One thing to be aware of is if the Root Scope is <Default> / Global Assignment then new Domains will inherit that Scope.
