Metadata for Development/Test/Production environments in one or more Collibra instances
Any best practices or experiences on how to cope with managing metadata for development/test/production environments . Should we use one Collibra instance and create seperate (sub)communities or should we use different instances of collibra and export /import metadata from development over test to production together with the change/release frequency of applications

Multiple instances is definitely going to be the easiest to manage your metadata.
The first approach you mention means you would manage different scopes for different subcommunities, which you cannot copy or deploy, it would quickly become very difficult to manage.
