how to stop users adding asset types excluded from the asset model

Hi,
we are fairly new to Collibra. After designing the asset model some users have started to make use of out of the box asset types which have not been included in our asset model. eg using BI Report instead of Report.
I don’t want to delete the unwanted asset types as I don’t want to lose sight of them, and they may be required in the future. But i do want the users to stop . I could rename by adding a suffix (“do_not_use”). I could remove all relationships from them.
Any other effective suggestions? Thanks.

Removing all domain types from all assignments will make it impossible to create assets of that type. I think it will also remove it from all suggestions (global create, etc.)
