Dynamically show whether the current user has access to a data set
At our company we have a lot of data sets and a lot of users requesting access to these sets. What we do see is that users request access to the same data set more than once. We try to mitigate this by developing a pop up window for the "request asset access" workflow, however, it would be quite neat if we found a way to give this insight to users already when they are looking at the asset page of the data set.
The best we can do currently is show the requesters in the at a glance pane (not useful, some datasets are requested over 100 times) or in the "related asset" table; data set is used in. However, this requires an extra step for users, since they need to filter on their own name to check whether they have access already.
Are there any bright minds out there who thought of a clever solution to show a dynamic "$current user> already has an active data usage request"-attribute?

I had a look on Ideation and the nearest match I could find was Show an overview of data assets I have access to in Catalog. So please don't hesitate to submit the idea. It would be a great addition, at the asset page level, and when exploring for data to use. For example as visible annotation on search results.
I was thinking it might be relevant to also (slightly) increase the search ranking for items you have already (requested) access to. On the one, hand it would make it easier to use search to work with your existing data sets, or to find the data you are looking for is available there. On the other hand, it does create a 'filter bubble' of sorts. Let me know if you feel it is worth submitting this as idea.
