Catalog API Ingestion Sample
Hi all,
Checking if there is a sample script that leverages Catalog API for Ingestion of metadata into the catalog. It could be as simple as it can be, for example, for an Oracle RDBMS, ingesting database --> schema --> table --> column hierarchy metadata.
I started browsing through the documentation, and I have the below high level process flow to build the same -
- Gather driver, upload/set-up
- Establish Connection
- Extract/Collect & Ingest into the Catalog
-
- Full refresh
-
- Incremental refresh
- Save (INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE) the results in the catalog
I could also make out that the below functions from the Catalog API could participate in executing the above high level process flow -
- AddSchemaFromJdbcRequest
- RefreshSchemaFromJdbcRequest
- JobServerInstance
- JobServerInstanceResponse
Would like to leverage a reusable script to complete the next steps.
Br,
Noor.
