Difference between Collibra Platform connector and DGC Connector
Hi Everyone,
Hope all doing well!
Can anyone know what is the difference between the Collibra Platform connector and the DGC connector I was confusing which connector I need to use ?
we don’t have a collibra connect license but when I used the platform connector I’m able to add/get assets from collibra but when I use the DGC connector it is throwing error like license not enabled for collibra connect please suggest to me how to overcome the issue?
Thanks in Advance,
Ravi

Not sure exactly what happening , but here are few check point :
If you are using ,
Collibra Connector : 1.6.8 and below then Mule 4 is not compatible
platform Connector : M3 1.0.4 is also not compatible with Mule 4
Can you please tell , what’s version of the platform connector you are using ?

OP5 years ago · EditedHi Sohail,
I’m using DGC Connector-2.09 not able to connect
to DGC because it requires collibra connect license. If I use Platform Connector M4-1.04 I’m able to connect to DGC. But my ask is to call the Mule flow from collibra workflow. I hope without collibra connect license I cannot call the Mule flow do you know any information regarding this?
Thanks In Advance

Both the connectors essentially are the same. It’s mostly a branding change since we’re not referring to the product as the dgc platform, it made sense to call it that. There are some minor changes to the param names as well I believe and the icon has changed. You may want to stick with the platform connector either way.
We still don’t have the ability to directly call a mule flow from a workflow unless you’re using the StartCollibraConnectFlowDelegate class. Please find this in the Workflow API section of the API documentation. An alternative would be to change the architecture of your project where your mule app is actively pulling data from the DGC. I hope this helps.

·5 years ago · EditedYou could either make a list assets call and then filter that list based on the date added or you will have to build a custom TVC that fetches the latest asset added to a given domain and then export it in the format you want it i.e. CSV, Excel or JSON. I hope this helps.
