Mass Physical Data Dictionary View Name Change
Hello everyone,
Does anyone know of a way I can make a mass change to the names of my views throughout Collibra? I currently have two views, one for business and one for technical, but I want to rename them to better reflect, and I don't want to go into every catalog to change the view name individually.

This can be used to propagate views from a domain to a list of domains of matching types in a community set, but it uses the view name as the key to the update. If this still works, perhaps you can use the example code in the workflow to find the matching views and update. Or use the workflow above to copy the new one, and then use the code example to delete the old views?
Not sure if it works, perhaps this is the syntax for view removal?

·10 months agoUnfortunately I'm not aware of any such OOTB functionality (and they hide the view apis some time ago).
I have a workflow that lets you copy views between domains but you would still need to manually delete the old ones or figure out the right api calls to delete them.

OP9 months agoThanks, Stefan! I have a workflow already that does the same and I've modified those view titles, but naturally they're only for new adds. I wish they're API catalog had a bit more functionality. Views are one like you mentioned, and then there was something I was trying to do a couple of months ago and there wasn't APIs available for. I've slept though so for the life of me I can't remember what that was now, lol.
