Workflows - user tasks - change notification text
Hi
I have a workflow where I have multiple user tasks. When a user gets a task, he/she also gets an email notification.
For example:
Assigned tasks
A new Production data access request task has been assigned to you. The associated business item is person. Please provide your comment about granting the user access to the asset.
Is there a way to change this text? Have you ever had such experience?
Thanks

·4 years ago · EditedYes it’s possible to change the text, but this is part of the dark and annoying magic of the platform.
There is no documentation, but you can get the list of OOTB .vm files in the application jar.
If you create new velocity templates with the same folder structure, it will override the OOTB ones. And if you just need to change some of the text, you can just change the translation strings.

·2 years ago · EditedHi Arthur,
We have tried making changes in ‘en’ file and placed it in dgc/email-templates/workflow-notifications/i18n/en.i18n and then compressed it and upload the backup in console. But it didn’t overwrite the OOTB file.
Do you any idea, what went wrong? Any help or suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Sadiya

Admin4 years ago · Edited@nareh.tarasyan To be candid, we don’t have a real user-friendly way of modifying email templates yet but I think that it could be achieved with some help from our Professional Services team. I would recommend reaching out to your CSM who I believe to be @genna.gerla.
