Bring Collibra Content into Confluence
Hi,
Did anyone show Collibra content in Confluence? How did you do it?
In our company Atlassian Confluence is widely used to document developments and to share knowledge. There are a lot of Confluence pages, that contain tables of descriptions of things like event payloads, data tabels and columns, technical Infrastructure like kafka topics, data bases and systems. In some cases ERMs and Code Sets are described.
In addition some pages would benefit if content from the data catalog was shown.
Whenever we ask units to bring this content into Collibra, the answer is always “why we allready have it in Confluence”. They even see the advatages of the data catalog, but don’t want to double the documentation or just have a link to data catalog content. I can even understand them, for the general purpose of documenting a wiki like Confluence is way better and there is no sense in a redundant collection of information.
We want to show current data catalog content in table or tile views and diagrams with all the possiblities like selection of fields, hierarchies and view permissions.
Any experience or idea would be helpfull. Thanks.

you are looking at an integration. In theory it’s doable; Confluence and Collibra have very functional APIs, you only need to create the interface. If I were to create such an interface (I thought about it - different usecase - but argued against it) I would create hierarchical confluence pages that are read-only and that are recreated periodically. But then again, why not linking to Collibra, there sits the data catalog.

thanks for your answer. Doing this with an Interface is a possible way .
I have in mind something like using iframe… I guess my question is more of a doing on the Confluence side, like creating a Confluence Macro that uses iframe to show views or diagrams from collibra.
