Representing XML(XSD) in Collibra

Question

Hello

I am looking for some suggestions as to how XML documents and related XSD Schema are best represented in Collibra. What OOB Asset to use, or do we need new Asset types?

Would be grateful for any advice and if sample screen shots could be supplied.

I am aware of the Data Model, Data Entity and Data Attributes but are these best assets OOB to represent XML documents

Depends, what are you trying to achieve?
XSD are surprisingly complex beasts. Cataloging 100% of an XML Schema Diagram would likely result in an impractical metamodel in Collibra.
A good approach I’ve seen in the past is to collect high-level data entities and attributes. And you can provide a link to your XSD (or upload it) in the model asset.

XSD for technical profiles / Logical model for business users.
Collibra is good at connecting the dots, but not for documenting everything in detail. It lacks the functionality that XSD modeling tools have.
