Restart DGC Tomcat server with unix command shell ?
Hi , i would like to know if it is possible to stop the DGC service without the administration console ? We are using 5.7.11 version on-premises with linux RedHat
We would like to write an unix shell script that properly stops and restarts the tomcat server of the DGC webapp for maintenance usage (clean temp folder periodically).
This script will be started by a CRON.
No need to stop the other services (repository, search, console …), only the DGC.
Thanks for your answer

·4 years ago · EditedYou can use the Management Console REST API’s to stop/start the DGC service (only). Log into your administration console and use this endpoint “/docs/index.html”, ex. https://console-demo-sample.collibra.com/docs/index.html, to get to the REST API console documentation. Next review the section “managed-services” .
The DGC service will have its own unique so you’ll need to find that first, then use these endpoints (with DGC service Id) to start/stop:
/service/{managedServiceId}/start
/service/{managedServiceId}/stop
ex.
https://console-demo-sample.collibra.com/rest/service/d8fef109-e49d-4a74-ac98-6aec0a9d85c8/start
