Tableau data source components are not loaded into collibra

Hi Team,

We are trying to load tableau metadata to Collibra through job server. Flow diagram included .

If the tableau dashboard is published with the source included in it, then the source details are not loaded into Collibra.

In the screenshot “Tableau_Collibra_Ingestion” , I have given 2 scenarios. In the scenario 2, the tableau workbook has data source information including in the workbook. Through Job server, We are not able to load data source information into Collibra. is there a way we can achieve this?

@gunasekharreddy.kaluva.non.se.com then how it will ingest tableau metadata? via REST APIs? I have seen below documentation, it will work on tableau 2020.2 or newer

I was informed that the Feb release will not require a Job Server for tableau. Need to wait and try out if that avoids the problem here and brings in TDS irrespective of that being published/embedded.

I did try out their pre-release version, but that kinda failed on me and hence waiting on GA release this week or next - just FYI

We use embedded data source in our Tableau Workbooks and found out that it will only bring in the data source if it is a published shared data source. It will not bring embedded data source info
