Workflow to correct Tableau URL

I setup my on-prem job server to ingest tableau data via the job server, but when I go into the CDIC and look at the synchronized data, the tableau data attribute “URL” is reflecting the reverse proxy url address, when it should show the actual Tableau url. The Collibra support team said that I need to create a workflow that can change the tableau url attribute , to the correct url , whenever the data is synced. Has anyone else encountered this issue ?

Did you create a workflow or did you find another solution to this problem

I wanted to follow up with you Jennifer that I worked with a Collibra, coach, Keegan Shirel and he was able to provide me with a workflow that updates the tableau URL attribute, every time the tableau data source is synched.

@jasonbrown Hello. I know this thread is 2 years old but can anyone tell me if the workflow is available in marketplace or if there's a permanent fix for this issue already? Thanks!

@jennifer_bauer_temple.baxter.com @collibra.admin Thank You for the recommendation Jennifer. Your approach did work, so thank you for that. I am curious that since this seems to occur wit other individuals, why Collibra would not create the workflow for the community to remedy this issue .

Hi Jason - I tend to do the bubble-gum and toothpick method and so far this low-tech method it is working fine for me - no workflow needed. The first thing you need to do is create a new attribute to store the updated URL - Collibra will not let you overwrite the URL generated by the connector through the GUI. Next, I created a view by Tableau Server which shows all of the Tableau assets which a URL is generated (Worksheets, Views, Story, Dashboard) where the URL field is populated but the Report Link (my new attribute) is not populated. Each week after an update, I go to this view, export it. Copy the Collibra generated URL to the Report Link column and do a search and replace of the reverse proxy with the actual tableau information. I then upload the import the file to update the Report Link attribute. I am sure there is someone here that is sophisticated enough to create a workflow to do this automatically - but this method works for me and does not take any level of Workflow/API knowledge.
