Calculation of the Seats for the new Licensing Model

Hello, we have not yet transitioned to the new licensing model and there are some situations not clear. If someone who had the experience, can shed some light, it would be much appreciated. All is clear on the way a license is determined for individual user, based on the role or membership in a certain group - higher license always prevails. There is also the buffer of 20% to manage consumption and 9 weeks in which the consumption is monitored and then some restrictions are implemented. What is not clear is the counting of the licenses. Example: User A occupies Viewer license and is at some point assigned a role that requires Contributor license based on some permission. At that point user A is +1 for Contributor license count. What happens if the user A no longer has that role that requires Contributor license? Is he still counted in the Contributor license count even though he now occupies the Viewer license? Is there a time period in which you are counted in the higher license count or does it change the second you lose the role/are not in the group anymore? Documentation does not specify anything related to this and it is hard to explain to the clients and cover all the possible situations. And there are a lot of them, imagination goes wild, ex. someone puts wrong user in a group and he now occupies higher license forever even though never used permissions that counts for a higher license? Update: found a part on the Allowance limits if the consumption is calculated weekly that means that user A is counted for Contributor license only in weeks that he occupied a role/group that requires some permission from Contributor - is that correct and tested in the real world? Thanks in advance, Ivan

    Overlay on diagram view
I have added an overlay to my diagram view. The overlay is showing only 1 value on the diagram when it actually contains multiple values. Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible to show more than one value on an overlay?

Looking for some Up Votes - Annual License Renewal - Pay as you go model for Creator/Contributor Licenses
If you are looking to save money when guessing/planning for Collibra License purchases at the beginning of the year only to find that due to business issues you are not able to use all the licenses but you have already paid for them then this ideation is for you. Consider Up Voting this so we can pay for licenses that we use instead of buying a bucket only to waste money with unused licenses. Annual License Renewal - Pay as you go model for | Ideation platform What types of users would benefit? The Data Governance Program Leadership, Collibra Administrators making decisions annually about how many Creator/Contributor/Viewer licenses you may need a year from now. What impact will it make? For the individuals involved in the annual license renewal process it is a difficult exercise in estimating the number of Creator and Contributor licenses you may need in your program 12 months from now. If you estimate you will need 50 Creators, and your program is successful, and you allocate all 50 licenses then things are great. If you estimate 50 Creators and your program is only able to grow at the rate that you are allocating 20 licenses, then you have spent $90,000 (list) on licenses that are not used - and go to waste. That is a very costly gamble for customers impacted by numerous factors which are many times outside of their control. Collibra has a method of purchasing additional licenses mid-year but no way to get back the lost cash for unused licenses. How should it work? Since Collibra knows how many Creator/Contributor licenses are actively allocated to users in Collibra tool - then allow us to pay for the licenses we use on a monthly or quarterly basis up to a maximum set by the annual license renewal process. I realize there are times when a user is granted a role which carries with it a Creator license and the intent was not to allow them to edit records. So, there would need to be a month grace period or something along those lines.

Using Collibra to support compliance with DORA - Digital Operational Resiliance Act
Hello network. Curious to hear if anyone has evaluated Collibra to support compliance with parts of the Digital Operational Resilience Act | European Banking Authority ("DORA"), the most obvious area being to support the requirements to identify, classify and map "information assets" in relation to critical business processes ("Critical Important Functions, CIFs") and applications (subset of "ICT assets").

Data Governance KPIs - Measuring Metadata Quality
I am curious what other people are doing around measuring and reporting out on the quality of the metadata in their catalog (completeness).  For example, we have received feedback that certain attributes of our Table and Column assets (full english name and description) are very important to our end users and the more complete they are, the better adoption we see.  We have put processes in place to improve on this metadata quality and would like to measure improvements over time.  I am finding it difficult, however, to easily report out of the Collibra platform the number of say, Column assets we have and the percentage that have completed/filled in attributes.  Has anyone else done anything like this?  And if so, any advice on how to easily measure it?  Thank you in advance!

    Collibrifying comms about our data
Hello everyone, I’m exploring ways to use Collibra to effectively communicate updates, changes, or additions to our datasets. This includes sharing product updates, sneak peeks of new features, news about new datasets, and taxonomy changes. The primary goals of this initiative are: Streamlining Communication: Ensuring all relevant stakeholders are notified about data changes in a timely and organized manner. Driving Adoption: Showcasing Collibra as a valuable too, ultimately encouraging broader use across the organization. I’d like to know if anyone in the community has implemented a similar use case in their organization. How did you go about setting it up, and what features or workflows in Collibra did you use? Any advice, examples, or best practices would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to your insights!

What is the new "Attribute Type Statistics Enabled" option mean and do?
In the new 2024.10 release there is a new item in the Attribute Type interface called "Statistics Enabled". Does anyone have documentation on what this is and how it can be used?

    Global Create
I have created a workflow to populate the Data Set asset type.  How do I prevent users from using the Global create and only use the workflow?  Would it be possible to write a WF that is triggered when someone selects Data Set on the global create - and essentially hijack the request into the workflow? Thanks
